The Claas Xerion 2500 was presented in 1997 as a new concept - tractor as a system vehicle.
It was distinguished by the ability to set the cabin in three positions: central, rear and rear-right. The Xerion's power source is a 6-cylinder diesel
turbocharged, liquid-cooled engine with a capacity of 8.7 liters and the drive is transmitted by a stepless hydromechanical gearbox designed by Claas engineers - HM8.
In 1999, the tractor underwent a facelift. In addition to the visual changes, the engine power was increased by 15 HP. The series was produced until 2004.
