The RKE was the first rotary harrow from the Rabewerk (hence the type
designation Rabe KreiselEgge), it was specially developed for difficult
conditions on stony clay or marsh soils and was built from 1977 to 1985.
The unique selling point of the RKE compared to the competition (at
that time mainly Lelyterra) were the bearing seats inside of the frame,
instead of in the trough and on the transmission cover of the power
harrow, which allows precise alignment of the bearings. In addition, all
components of the RKE were generously dimensioned, and as is usual with
almost all Rabe rotary harrows, the packer roller is pre-loaded by a
strong spring, which means that the power harrow can move upwards more
easily when dealing with larger stones. Thanks to these developments,
the RKE has been characterized by a very good durability over the years.
